Why do people hate Blackberry Users?

I don't think there is really that much of a worthwhile difference between the 9300 Curve and the Bold is there?

I read a couple of reviews on the new Curve last night, many of which were less than flattering on a number of details... The especially sucky camera, "sloth-like response of the optical trackpad" according to one site (although they probably just didn't adjust its sensitivity properly), along with a couple of other inconsequential things. The Bold seems to have gotten generally positive reviews, where the scores on the Curve seemed to be heavily dependent on a given site's general feeling towards Blackberrys.

My major considerations were screen resolution (480 x 360 on the Bold vs. 320 x 240 on the Curve), the camera, the [-]slightly faster CPU[/-] (seems they're the same) and the more potent battery. Just rather a top-of-the-line year-old phone than a new mid-range one I suppose.

EDIT

Given the price difference of, what, R50 per month...

Assimilation complete. *bows before the Blackberry Queen server* Your adoring lemmings herewith would like to present to you our newest convert.

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE RESISTANCE IS FUTILE RESISTANCE IS FUTILE RESISTANCE IS FUTILE RESISTANCE IS FUTILE RESISTANCE IS FUTILE RESISTANCE IS FUTILE

:p

Sounds like a version of ...

"What are we going to do today?"

"What we do every day ... take over the world!"

:D

Aha, but I've already devised a cunning plan... the new gadget is the reward! :D

Then you better enjoy this blowie cause its gonna be the last one you gonna get! Unless you make her sign a contract obligating her to give you one every night or else you have the BB blacklisted. lol

Geez you BB users are like a bunch of JWs!

See, even RPM agrees...

Beware of the BlackBerryBrigade. We hunt down anti-BlackBerry reactionaries and squash them to make berry delicious Apple juice to go with our Droidoasties and Symbiananas for breakfast.

Feck, this thing is annoying the daylights out of me! Want to set an extra alarm? Sorry, the device is too dumb to handle more than one. But don't worry, you can set calendar reminders in lieu of alarms. Except if you want it for weekdays only you have to set 5 fracking separate alarms - one for each day - each set to repeat daily. Bloody hell, that's an arse-about-face way of needing to do things!

Wanna change the icons on your home screen? Sure. Just select an icon position, press the press and hold the trackpad and... HA! KIDDING! Actually, go into the main menu and shift around the stuff on your phone so the 5 icons you want on your home screen are the first 5 in the main menu. Cripes, how utterly unintuitive.

WiFi not working? Well, just switch "Data Services" on under "Mobile Network" in "Options". Not that WiFi, in my case a fixed access point to my DSL, has anything to do with data services on a mobile network but what the hey, it's always fun looking for options that affect unrelated functions isn't it?

POS. I will never trade my Desire for this cowpat. Again, I understand the benefits of an always-connected device with fixed data charges, and enterprise email functionality, and easy instant messaging and whatever else but in a package like this? I'll personally pass rather...

I get the idea all BB users just want to be/feel accepted in the smartphone world.....they know their phones are not quite up to scratch, but still want to feel they're part of the top phones market. :p

Agreed on the multiple alarms; I solved it by getting up at the same time every day. There are apps that do multiple alarms though.

"Press the press"? I select the icon, click and hold the trackpad, and when the pop-up menu appears, I select "Move icon", and move it. Seems intuitive to me. Old OSes you did have to go into the home screen and select "move" from the menu, but even that's not exactly arduous.

Huh? I have "Mobile network", "Wi-Fi", and "Bluetooth".
