AA/BEE=Reverse racism. Designed to discriminate against people who had nothing to with the past government.

Unfortunatly a few step back in africa ends up like zim.Do u think whites must trust african management and process when a broad generalision only shows failure

And if we take a look at the Eskom argument at the moment we can see that wrongfully employed means quite a bit. I'm afraid those few steps back, that you talk about, have caused us to fall over - and we're never going to go forward.

"Never" is a strong word, i believe they trying to sort this problem out already.

Going forward is also not about me or you, or about our kids, its about the many many generations to follow.

I wasn't talking about board members...I listed EXCO members ...i.e. Executive Directors that run specific divisons of Eskom... I never even made mention of the board members (who are mostly probably political appointments )

I think the preferred choice of phrase is "we are advancing in the backwards direction", right?

I think its more important for the poor and underpriviledged black people out there to trust african management. I believe turning their lives around for the better matters more.

Yes. And to use the eskom case, those people will have learnt from their mistakes, and we should come off the better for it.

I think its widely believed by the international community that AA is a temporary measure to alleviate past imbalances. Education is tantamount and only when trully educated people are put in the right jobs for the right reason will people stop asking is someone is only employed because they're black. The corollorary is also true and undermines the confidence of black employees that question if they only got the job because they're black.
