Why The iPhone Is Better

marketing marketing marketing, the scourge of the modern world, a good marketing campaign can convince the target market that they need to carry a sample of their faeces (boodles) in their back pocket in order to be "IN"...

Apple are the epitome of ruthless marketing and it's through brilliant marketing that the quirks, nuisances and deficiencies of their product are spun away , despite the weakness of the product the target market are content with owning an iPhone and shout it from the roof tops...

Its like 318 drivers saying I drive a BM.... Not a fan of people like that....:p

Yep exactly, and is a BM such an amazing car? No, it is very average, but its all about the name....It's all about the label, rather sad but true. Dam label whores. :)

And all they need to do is put an i in front of it and make it look pretty. iCrap sounds appropriate.

Then all the Apple fanboys can go on about how you don't know what real crap is until you've played with an iCrap :)

I saw a lady with an Apple phone on Wednesday... I look closely because it looked different to my iPhone, I actually thought it was a new one or something....
I looked closer and it was an Omnia with an Apple sticker at the back...:rolleyes::p

ROFL....

Seems like Apple is either loved or hated.

If someone feels that inferior products completes them because its pretty and has picture of a half-eaten silver apple then good for them.

Guys Guys Guys..... Yes. I agree. The iPhone does have many weaknesses, and many other phones have come out that are definitely much better than the iPhone, they might look better, they might perform better, they might have Copy & Paste, MMS, Free Apps, Expandable Memory slots. Yes they might have better call quality, stability, processors, GPS etc. etc. And I am willing to admit that they are better.

BUT.... When you are holding your Samsung Omnia/Nokia 5800/HTC Touch HD/other phone that is better than iPhone, can you say to yourself, 'I own an iPhone' ?

No... you cannot... because you wont have an iPhone. Yes you will have a phone that is better than the iPhone in many ways............................................. but it still won't be an iPhone. And that, my friends, is why the iPhone is better than all the rest. Because it is an iPhone.

Yes, I agree brilliant post because it actually admits what all of us have been saying for ages. And most of you iPhone fans have been denying. You have all been sucked in by the marketing cyclone called Apple.

Problem is once that initial novelty of owning an iPhone wears off you will still have just that an iPhone.... I, on the other hand, will not have those (perceived) initial bragging rights you talk about but I will have the joy of knowing I have a phone that does everything I want it to brilliantly!

Although your argument that I cannot have an iPhone is pretty interesting as I thought the iPhone was freely available to all. If I wanted one I'd walk into a vodacom shop and get one... easy as that! But then again it would then say something about me to all those who see me, that I'd rather not have said...

u're unemployed and can't afford one right?
shame:o
Oh the classic excuse of justification... what you mean to say is that you can't afford one because you don't enjoy taking it up the batty from Apple? Considering how cheap it is in the US.

And yes, I can afford one, I just prefer not to blow excessive amounts of cash on what is effectively a pretty looking piece of crap.

Huh I never said you CANNOT have an iPhone...

So what if we've been sucked in by their marketing campaign? I would buy Apple products just because they are made by Apple.

"can you say to yourself, 'I own an iPhone' ?
No... you cannot... because you wont have an iPhone."

And what are you doing in an iphone thread? :p
And why are there so many threads about iPhone, and not your phone.

Heh, I was thinking the same thing, maybe I should get an iPhone and put a Samsung sticker on it, then people will think I have an Omnia. :D

Oh, wait, I am going to get the Omnia. Heh, that is my choice, if you prefer the iPhone, good for you. Besides get stuck in the Settings menu on the iPhone, it didn't seem too bad, still, I prefer the Omnia.

Let's see in two years or so if I have changed my mind!.

Man that did not imply that you cannot get one. If you read the previous words you will see what I meant...

This is so funny...

To be honest I've never bought into Apple's marketing hype, that's BS if you believe that all owners of Apple products are not informed. I never liked the iPod so I never bought one, I think the macbooks are poorly designed but I got one to see how good they are and I am impressed with it so far. But you know what makes me like Apple and their products more and more? it's not the marketing but the Apple bashers(who ironically don't own Apple products) the more they bash the iphone the more I love it.

So please keep it coming, it's encouraging me to love Apple even more.

Pooky I am not even sure why started this thread, are you bored? Looking for a kick out of fanbois fighting with people that think otherwise about the iPhony? Rather childish and pointless thread if you ask me.
