So let us see.
With Evetech they don't honor warrantees, they will charge you 10-20% depreciation after a month of use if something under warrantee break.
These pre builds are a way for them to get rid of old stock and not components that actually work well together.
If one small component fail, like a stick of ram they will ask you to pay for shipping back for they whole pc and you will sit for months without a pc while they work out how much extra they going to screw you for pc that is under warrantee.

Well done Mybroadband, great journalism

You get 10 points for remembering a cooler this time but -100 for still supporting EveSkelms
I’m just surprised that he is pairing a 3800X with 2666mhz Ram on an X570 Board...

Get a 3600X, some 3600mhz Ram and a 2070S or an AMD equivalent, a s run a decent system.

Why list a sound card?

Can we not get someone who actually knows what they are talking about, to write these articles?

There are not always savings to be found, however. We checked another popular South African PC store – Wootware – and found that their custom PCs use the exact same prices as if you had bought the components individually.

There is then an additional R579 charge for “PC Assembly, Stress-testing, and Windows Installation.”
It's just R350 for the PC assembly and stress testing plus they can build it out of the components you specify. Cheap as chips and their cable management is on point. Windows 10 you can get for cheap on this forum and install. Plus they're super helpful with queries and questions. Great for people like me who'll just cock it up if I DIY it.

Never, you should never take a pre-built PC (if you can do it yourself.)

My first prebuilt system:
- 4.77mhz 8088
- 640kb
- 2x 360KB disk drives
- Hercules graphics card

After this I built every machine myself until a few years ago, when I just didn’t have the time or patience (actually received a dud motherboard with my previous build, which was a headache to diagnose and replace).

I bought something from www.originpc.com, which turned out pretty well. I pretty much picked every component, and they assembled and checked everything, including overclocking.

Why you should consider a pre-built gaming PC

For many PC gamers, one of the most exciting aspects of getting a new rig is putting it all together.

However, another benefit that some may think would result from building your own PC is that you can save money.

This is disgusting. You are advertising an Evetech build here? After all the news about it before?

And, wow, it offers a "A 2-year warranty is also included in the price of the pre-built PC."

When a lot of the components should have a longer OEM warranty?

Always more rewarding building it up from scratch.
Looks like it is cheaper as well.
