i agree with you on all of that, but i feel that this fear of the "black masses" is also bad. you have people prepared to kill black people i nthe thousands and feel nothing, and they're excited about war, they're just waiting for the ANC to push, and for that just go to Facebook and do a search on any afrikaans group, you will see the lunatics there immediately

That is why the government needs to make a stand on this and very soon. The fringe elements are expecting a war and with the government grandstanding and not accepting that something is very wrong, they are going to get just that. Civil war in South Africa will be a lose lose situation for everybody. But neither side will admit to that. What they can't see is that we are a co-dependant society. The white middle class does subsidize a very large black rural class when it comes to taxes and buying power. Once you remove the white middle class, you remove a very large portion of state revenue. Then we will have to deal with a failing economy, rising food prices and most probably international embargo.

i'm not defending the murders, i'm trying to stop them turning these victims into martyrs for their sick cause. they get reduced to a number and statistic so a bunch of racists can justify living in their own homeland, away from black monkeys. the problem must be dealt with and they deserve better protection and recognition. this is a real problem, but then lunatics add "and the ANC is secretly trying to kill all us white folk, and they plan on doing it when Mandela dies". you can't take them seriously even though the problem is real.

He has one definite point though. The ANC should have done everything in their power to condemn these crimes and support the farmers by possibly bringing back the commando's - They were a serious deterrent to these criminals, didn't cost the government anything and actually to a degree kept the people safe. They could implement something similar in areas where police is scarce where the crimes that were referred to happened to black civilians.

At the end of the day people are judged by their actions. The ANC have shot themselves in the foot bigtime by actually supporting and protecting Malema in his hate speech trial. With everything that has been going on someone viewing the facts from outside has to consider the facts that the ANC may not be behind these attacks but by not condemming them they are giving approval of them by their silence.

For evil to win only requires the good to look away.

If you take away their self defence capabilities (Commando's) and the president sings umshini wam, clearly supports his little bile spewing minion then you have to admit they have grounds for their fears as well.

Ok, so can we just all agree now that this has to stop and it has to be a joint effort from both the "white minority" and the ruling ANC government.
