Hi, I need to setup wifi for a conference room that will cater for maximum 300 user. it's just a 6mx6m hall with no walls.
have already applied for a 200mbps fibre. please advise on how many AP's that will accommodate that numbers of users.
I would go for Unifi AP's but i hear stock is an issue at the moment, any other alternatives that are easier to find.

What kind of router are you planning on using? A router natting 300 clients is going to need a lot of oomph.

How are you going to fit 300 people in 6m x 6m? Sardine can.

Look at the Unifi HD units. UAP‑AC‑HD

I would suggest putting in at least 2 units on either side of the venue cabled to your switch and router. Also a dedicated Unifi controller.
Just a correction, i meant to say 300 devices, thinking in the lines of each user having a laptop, tablet and phone.

So 100 people in a 36m2 space?

Anyway, what router will you be using. It will have to be VERY beefy!

I would suggest a Mikrotik RB4011 or RB5009 for the router side.

2 of the Unifi HD Access points to spread the load and provide failover in case an AP diess. As well as gigabit cabling between everything.

You can be glad you only have to worry about the WiFi, the guy/girl in charge of getting them all must be having some serious headaches. 6m x 6m is smaller than a double garage.

36m2 room gives you a is maximum of about 60 people - probably half wont connect you your WiFi if there is decent 4/5G. Are you hosting COVID parties BTW?
