yeah i am also going for amobia just hope that all get installed within next week. hoping to be connected at list by month end.

Iburst phoned me and said there will be a R1200 fee if I downgrade, so now I have to wait till september. :(

WTH that's a low blow why would they do such a thing ?, they will lose customers that way, That proves a point to meaning stay away from Iburst and if any of my clients wants to apply for that i will advice them against it.:wtf:
 
Ja dude, I don't understand it as well. Earlier this year, I upgraded my package and they had no problem with that, cause they get more money, but now that it is the other way around, it's a different story.
 
Day 2 and i still haven't received my installation date. mmmmm:erm:

What is their CPE actually? A Mikrotik router? I see that you get to keep the equipment, which makes the installation fee not such a big deal.
Also, I see they do not allow "abuse" of uncapped connections. Any idea what qualifies as "abuse" on their 1mbit package?

Not sure about their CPE but regarding their fair use policy i think you looking at 10GB per 3 days for uncapped 3mbps. the usage seems to drop depending on your package.
 
Have you phoned them? Speak with Mike and tell him he is getting bad rep on this thread... :p
hahahaha nah spoke to one of the sales ladies there and she said she still waiting for the accounts departments to create a wireless account for me then their will issue and installation date,
i do speak to mike now and then but he usually trans fares me to the sales department.

my bill is around R1800 for vodacon data bundles.

now i am starting to get impatient.

If it's 3GB/day for 3mbps, then presumably it's 1GB/day for 1mbps, which is only 30gb/month. Not great. The price isn't bad though. I wonder what the service quality is like.

No way you are going to pay so cheap and then still keep the CPE when you are done with them... :eek:

I am the same, after you pay, you want it and want it now.
Not really good from their side. They can at least keep you updated. Is a sms, or e-mail so much to ask????

true true , yeah well for both times i had to call them and check on the status of my order, that's the department they need to really work on, besides that everything else has been superb so far.
