Wifi internet

things are really bad when the only thing you can afford is Microsoft xbox points but not be able to download anything with them, i mean come on some of this updates are bigger than my data bundles.
one of the DLC pack was like 5.99 gigs.


I guess Amobia must really hurry up and get my internet sorted. This is tragic i feel extremely Poor.

If it's 3GB/day for 3mbps, then presumably it's 1GB/day for 1mbps, which is only 30gb/month. Not great. The price isn't bad though. I wonder what the service quality is like.

According to other threads, it was removed, as people were able to download up to 400GB.
According to other threads, service levels on were not great (has to do something with MWEB), but capped was on par with ADSL in terms of latency.

I honestly don't care too much about latency. It's all about the volume I'm allowed to download. I'm waiting for them to get back to me regarding a signal test.
 
Morning well just got woken up by Francois , seems like the are in demand cause at the moment they ran out of the CPE,s so i am looking at a day or so of delays.

I can't really blame them there since Telkom seems to be F(*^0 up so must of us are stuck . but damn.

I have an adsl line at work doing my downloads, I just need this for my gaming. ;)

Yes he phoned me to explain at list, nope doesn't seem like it will happen this week the latest is Friday if not, then next week.
 
It's Friday still no word from Amobia i guess they still don't have stock . :cry:
 
I queried what the hell's happening with my site survey and whatnot from Amobia just now and they finally got back to me, saying that I'll be able to connect based on my provided information and that they would like to arrange a site survey. I then queried the site's exact location and it seems they perfectly ignored what I told them, because I most certainly do not have LOS. Good thing I sorted this now, or I would've exploded if I had to go home to meet them for the survey and we came to the same conclusion.
Pretty poor service from them. Maybe I dodged a bullet. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like I'll be getting proper internet without moving.
 
A couple of days from now and i will be asking for a refund from Amobia, if something hasn't been done by this week. I am really starting to loose it at this point honestly.

that's the thing, they are not doing that and now i have to call them aoll the time, they should have told me all that before i made the payment.
 
Tell then you want your money back and you will deposit it again once they receive stock, that is if you haven't gone with another wisp...

Nope no one called me or emailed me. maybe i should just talk to mike from now on.
