Will high gain Poynting LTE antenna solve this issue?

Hi there.

Kind of at my wits end. Being forced to work from home but our wireless LTE has become unbearable and I believe it may be due to a change in towers.

Currently on 4g, our stats are as follows:
RSRP: -101dBm
SINR: 5dB

I've managed to locate the single telkom tower nearby and i'm wondering if buying something like this (Poynting LTE antenna) would assist. Currently have the Huawei B315 modem.

Sort of urgent as I assume we'd need to sort this out before lockdown. Any help is appreciated.

Installing a Poynting X-Pol 6-10 took my signal strength from -115 dBm to -69dBm on MTN Fixed LTE. Speed went up from average 18mbs to 35mbs. Sometimes over 40mbs. Worth it in my opinion.

I know this is an old thread but just for reference. An antenna will help if your slow speeds is signal related. If your slow speeds is congestion on the tower then an antenna will not work.

Also good to note that a proper router that can at least do 2 LTE carrier aggregation or 4x4 mimo is recommended. With the massive shift of ADSL to LTE single LTE carriers on towers are getting congested and the 1800MHz LTE especially due to all mobile phones, routers and mifi devices preferring that carrier.

The antenna helped and then things went south from middle March. Connected to a B618 22d I managed to get speeds of 80-110Mbps. Now its around 15-25Mbps
