Will Madonsela release 'state capture' report?

I can guarantee that Thuli has got a few copies stashed around just to keep Baleka in check.

Madonsela:
15:29
"The only reason we can't release the State Capture report is because we couldn't secure enough interviews with the witnesses necessary," she says.
She says they could only secure one interview in the last week.

Two mins later:
15:31
She says that despite not having an interdict, it is good practice not to go ahead with the release of the report while an interdict must still be heard.

So the only reason she couldn't release the report was that they never had enough interviews. The interdict was an issue of good practice but never prevented release then?

So why didn't she release what she had then?

According to news reports earlier today she decided not to after consulting with her lawyers. Who knows what the reasoning was, perhaps they reckon forcing the issue now will detract from the credibility regardless of legalities.

A couple of lawyers in different forums stated outright it is still within her legal rights to release it today, she chose not to.

So what happens now ?

Her report will not be released. Zuma and co, will now keep political parties tangled up in court cases the next few years in the High Court, then the Appeals Court, then naturally to the Constitutional Court.

This will give Zuma and the Guptas the 3 years they need to prepare for the 2019 election and ensuring Zuma stays in power.
