She has the right to recommend actions which are enforceable ie: nkandla and pay back the money. Hence this is basically treason.

Love the optimism guys, but no, this is merely the same song and dance we've seen from the ANC for over a decade now: "we will stop corruption", "we must respect the law" blablablabalblabla

In reality they will cover for Zuma when push comes to shove, again.

I'd think they'd be legal sounds like location info and such records require a subpoena so no issue there.

I'm not so sure this time. Their tune has slowly been changing now that they know that her findings are binding. Those who haven't been caught will want to keep it that way, and defending the guilty will only bring the spotlight onto them which they'd want to avoid. The best they can do is keep their mouths shut which will allow the anti-Zuma faction to start making plays...

I refuse to get my hopes up, when Zumatello made his live TV address to the nation, despite my better judgment, I had some hope, I had some good scotch ready to go ... and we all know how that went ...

I used to get angry at revelations like this. Now, it just makes me sad that we are *that* kind of country. I am so embarrased when news articles like these surface.

I had so much hope for us ..... now we are the African cliche we hoped never to be :(
