With President Ramaphosa set to address the nation at 20:00 tonight do you think there will be an easing of regulations or a further tightening? Will they open the borders earlier than planned? What about curfew, alcohol and beaches?

Honestly depends on what our limp-spined president is allowed to do by his handler, NDZ...she's calling all the shots now.

this,
or maybe ban cigarettes once again. NDZ needs the income from the illegal sales.
That ban doesn't bother me, but I understand both sides...but our numbers have been dropping for a while now. Why take so long to have another meeting? I mean FFS just let us go to the beach with what's left of summer.

Banning alcohol might make the crime numbers look good, but there is a definite problem with drinking in this country which isn't fixed by banning it. People will go get that cheap "skop"and be worse off. Never mind the lost taxation stream, jobs and investments!

Whatever is said, the ANCs great loot will continue, if not be accelerated.

Thus, whatever Cyril says is utterly irrelevant.
This.
Which is why I no longer care, or pay attention, and not voting (Other).

dont you get it @JohnStarr, the numbers are all made up from day one of this lockdown malarkey,
at this stage they will NEVER give up their power over us, they will keep lockdowns and bans going till the next election,

the booze ban does nothing except hurt the honest working man, same with cigarettes, all it does is pour petrol on the fire of Crime.

The numbers have come down significantly from a month ago. Active cases down to 109k... new infection rate is probably still higher than it should be... but I don't see why we can't see an easing of restrictions.

It's a fine balancing act between being cautious while protecting the tanking economy.

heres a secret, the numbers are a lie,
I dont trust one number they publish,

its all a smokescreen to hide all the looting and stealing going on in the background.

Just been spending a lot of time in the one hospital in Jo'burg, a friend had surgery and I was allowed to hang around.
Stupid things are done, like non-Covid patients having to wear a mask while they sleep - no possible reason for that!! And as for social distancing... a total joke in many places there.

Time for peeps to wake up.

Reckon the talk will be about the vaccines so I voted No Changes - happy to be proven wrong.
