I knew a guy who had a nice beeeg garage at his beach house. He would drive his landcruiser with caravan attached in the one end, do a u-turn and exit the other with van still attached.
Sounds like my friend's place, but it's not a garage. He has a small aircraft hangar attached to his house. He bought a place in a fly-in estate even though he isn't a pilot and just uses the hangar to store all his toys. It's the ultimate man cave.

After 5 years of living in a small house, I say the following :

1. It can be done
2. If you're a packrat, forget it.
3. You have to be really, really strict about keeping the place clean, it clutters up very quickly.
4. If you have kids, rather reconsider this and go for a larger house.
Small or tiny?

Also, pics?

:)

Don't think I can live in a small place after living with 400sqm under roof.

I would like a tiny house for a week holiday in some big open space or in a forest or such.

Couldn't live in one permanently though. Would need a tiny house for all the tools and then that's not enough.

Just have to take it off grid and mount some TV's. This is really great.
That dude though... I was scared any moment he is gonna drop dead. :p

1.5 mil home, which is about the starting price for a standard home.

The downside is it usually depreciates in value over time, unlike a home that is an investments, and you still need to rent the land as they are to small to pass the building regulations so have to keep them on wheels.

Although I like scaled down living, I am not personally a big fan of tiny houses, although they are nice to design from a design perspective, but this one above is a bit different, which I like. I like the elements they used and the mechanics. Will make a nice coffee shop, lol.

when you are in lockdown level 5 or 4 and you not aloud to leave your residence.
this is a terrible idea.
I don't recommend it for anyone

A tiny house in the right location for the right price can work. The wife will disagree so it will never happen :/

Although its been around for some time, Internationally the tiny house movement trend has picked popularity in the last couple of years with more people considering the minimalist, clutter free, small footprint living. Shipping containers are also used to convert into a tiny home.

Will you consider living in a tiny-house?

Grew up in one, first house was one.

I dont think it is about size, but about how well a house is designed/built.
