Anyone able to update to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709?

I have 3 PC's, on all 3 PC's, the update is failing to install. No error code given.

I normally download the upgrade assistant from their website, updating through windows update centre always has problems

yes my first choice also. Funny thing is the Windows Update Assistant says I am up to date.
Yet the built in Windows Update Centre found the update immediately after release and began downloading.

Maybe wait a few hours and try again

How you getting updates?

I downloaded the ISO with the updated Media Creation Tool. All fine on one PC so far.

Through windows update.
The windows update assistant does not find any update.

I will resort to media creation tool. How big is the update 64bit?

My Notebook updated this morning through Windows Update and I am updating my tablet now using the Windows 10 Update Assistant.
If the Update Assistant is not working for you, try downloading it again. The new Update Assistant is a few Kilobytes larger and worked for me.

BTW, Why Arthur is asking how he is getting updates?
Windows 10 updates itself, it is a future. <g>

Er, you obviously don't realise there are several ways to update: Windows Update (can take a while to appear as it's a phased rollout ww), Windows Update Tool, Media Creation Tool, directly from downloaded ISO, and so on.

Where can I disable this? Trying for a friend. But he can't even go to gpedit. So, very strange

Home version. Even in Pro version you have no ownership on the computer, it simply do not obey Group Policy settings. Usually does, but with version 1607 we have learnt it is just provisional (subject to Microsoft desires).

As it is eating his 3G data.

Strange that it is Win 10 home. As it is a business laptop.

Will double check.

Set the connection to a metered connection under network properties. It will pause the update.
