Windows 10 - High Latency in games.

Hi guys, I just got Windows 10, I was using 8.1 before.

For some reason all my online games run at 700+ world ping, before it was like 170ms.

Any idea why this could be?
 
Poor and unstable latency, typical for Windows 10.

Check if it's really Windows 10 and not something else causing it.
Open command prompt and ping your router for a couple of minutes and see if the latency fluctuates.
So ping routerIP -t
And hit ctrl c once complete.

If it's a new install it could be due to win10 downloading updates. with nothing open check task manager or resource monitor for network usage.

New or old.
However some tasks are hidden from the task manager.

No, all network usage shows up on task manager, it might just be grouped under a different exe as it could be using a windows service.

Nope. Not everything is showing there, other things are intentionally obscured (hiding a real purpose).
 
win10 is a bunch of junk OS microsoft ever created. slow boot/shutdown, spying is one thing that no one is bother about

Wow really, you mean my PC could boot faster than the couple of seconds it already takes? That's amazing!! What OS would you recommend seeing as though you make completely unfounded claims about an OS?

I have absolutely not a single issue with Windows 10, it runs perfectly!

Unless the Windows 10 version that is installed for OP is downloading updates, there is no way purely the windows could be to blame for latency in games. Like previously suggested check your network drivers, if they are up to date and correct, its something else causing your latency

Sounds like you have a **** PC, to be honest. And spying? Pfffft, you'll disconnect all your devices immediately if you know how much spying really goes on.

2nd bold: you do realize in most cases it's better to use one service that wakes up and does multiple things than have multiple services wake up at different times that only do one thing.

do you owned pc??? devices are spying why?,,,your online activities is monitored by MS.

go compare win7,8,10 boot time and show the results. just try to disable few services like windows defender ect in win10. will wait for your results

Windows 3.1 boots faster than XP and Windows 7.

Well duh, coz I know they do. That's why I said if you knew how much you're being spied on, you'd disconnect all your devices.
