Thankfully I had better luck with my 'dinosaur' Core2 Duo desktop which I had recently updated to Win 11 Enterprise 22H2 - I downloaded a Win 11 23H2 English International ISO image, ran Rufus & got it to install successfully - this is as far as I can go upgrading the OS on this PC, as Win 11 24H2 or newer does NOT support my outdated CPU any more... it's now busy downloading & installing all of the remaining pending Cumulative updates...

I tried the English (US) Win 11 ISO but got an error message that it differed from the language installed and could not install, so using the English (International) ISO instead solved that issue for me.Why would you use International english? Unless you use a UK keyboard.![]()

My windows update is still stuck on the previous cumulative update and it doesn't want to update further. It just keeps on trying to download it. There is no way to cancel it.
I have the exact same issue here - the original 2025-10 25H2 Cumulative update from Patch Tuesday on 14 October 2025 failed to install on my Lenovo Intel 5th Gen CPU laptop (I had used Rufus to install Win 11 Pro 24H2 onto it & then upgraded it to 25H2) - same story with this revised update I tried to install this morning - it failed with the identical error message I got last week...My windows update is still stuck on the previous cumulative update and it doesn't want to update further. It just keeps on trying to download it. There is no way to cancel it.
WINDOWS SUCK.
Your PC works hard every day, running programs, storing files, and keeping you connected. Even the strongest hardware, however, can slow down over time if it isn't properly cared for. And nothing kills productivity faster than a slow or unstable PC.
Luckily, Windows comes with built-in commands that can help maintain stability with minimal effort.
With these commands, you can repair corrupted system files, scan and fix hard drives, optimize performance, and even resolve stubborn network problems. Running them takes less than five minutes, and the reward is a more reliable PC.
