I have always used Virtual Switch. The settings still look the same, but there is no access to it. The machine is running under Hyper-V.Did you set it up with the Default Switch or your own Virtual Switch?

I use the Virtual Switch for mine that bridges the MAC onto the my network so my router can give the VM an IP.
This we know. Tell me, how is the girl's g-spot feeling these days?I might be a furry but I’m not that adventurous.

I have found previously on updates (driver updates even) that Hyper-V changes the network adapter your Virtual Switch uses. So in my case I have a Realtek 2.5GbE as my network connection, but some updates has Hyper-V use the Wi-Fi adapter and I have to switch it back. So maybe check that?I have always used Virtual Switch. Initially - YES!!!Anyway @Rouxenator Any issues running windows in afrikaans BTW? Like finding stuff?
Not that either - I only have 1 nic on the desktop. I have also reset network connections, after deleting the hyper-v adapter. After a restart, I recreated it. Any chance you can connect to it directly from Hyper-V and do a getmac ? Something like this? Not that either - I only have 1 nic on the desktop. I have also reset network connections, after deleting the hyper-v adapter. After a restart, I recreated it. But still no network on the vm...

I really do appreciate your advice, that helped me to search in the right direction. I eventually found this article that shed some light on the cause of the problem:Any chance you can connect to it directly from Hyper-V and do a getmac ? Something like this?

Then you can log on to your router and see if the static IP is still allocated?
Not sure why a feature update would break that but you never know.
It's been an adventure fixing everything that broke post-install of this
Mine is flying now after the fresh install. This was the first full fresh install since building the PC almost 2 years ago.
