Windows 11 Support Thread

Linux Mint. Use the Cinnamon version.

It can do everything Win 11 can do and much more.

The latest update broke my one Windows 11 PC. Anyone else having issues?

It is like the OS does not recognize the TPM. I still need to do deeper troubleshooting, but it is late.

So... This last update corrupted a lot, including the drivers. I was able to repair it via another Windows 11 PC in which I installed the drive. I see that others are experiencing issues too. I don't know whether MS is aware, and that their emergency update also remedied this. I don't see them bringing up any such issues.

All good now.

Typical Windows.

This is why I changed to Linux Mint.

I have never previously experienced such an issue with Windows. The update process wasn't even interrupted. It wasn't hard to remedy, and I do have testbench systems, so no real hassle.

People are still moving to Linux Mint. For ordinary users, I think Pop_OS is better. The new Ubuntu 25.04/10 is bliss. CachyOS is the best though.

KB5063060 got released that replaces the previous update ....

I think this update is being force installed if you had the old update installed and then it's immediately restarting your computer, I had no outstanding updates to install and I went out for an hour and when I came back my computer had been restarted and this update had been installed.
I wasn't having any issues though but maybe MS thought my system was one of the vulnerable ones.
