Will Windows 7 be a winner?

Windows 7 looks good but the jury is still out on whether Vista’s reputation will slow its adoption.

I've been running Windows 7 RTM (legally) for a few weeks now and it is definitely worth the upgrade.

At least we were right about Vista being a flop!

I will be buying Windows 7 for the quick boot times, 64 bit support and higher RAM support.

But I am not happy about some Quirks in File Handling in the File Manager... I hope they have fixed those in the RTM.

Windows 7 is far better than Vista. Only people who do not have the right PC's or refuse to change will be left with XP, and they will be left behind in this era of technology......

I agree, I installed the RC, and XP immediately seemed totally outdated and crap in comparison - sort of like how I felt about Windows 98 after I first installed XP - at the time I remember thinking it was incredibly unreasonable to have an OS that takes up an entire Gig of storage space - I think I had like a 5GB HDD at the time.

I certainly didn't think I'd still be using XP so many years later though.

been running legit windows 7 for a good few months now.. all I can say is that its fantastic! It hasn't crashed once (RC 7100)... now that's unparalleled performance. (Although I do have a really decent system to run it)

I guess the only thing now is all the drivers and games compatibility issues that need to be sorted out, but that's on the part of the hardware and game developers. ATI has been quick to release win7 drivers which im happy about. Razer has been slower but getting there.

Kompete windows 7 runs well on just about any half decent pc man.

I run it on my 1.6ghz atom netbook, a celeron lappie.

Runs very well on older and newer hardware.
