Beta 2 will be out before then so don't worry. The final release is due Q4 2009/Q1 2010.

Got it installed. Works fine so far no issues. Except one: for some reason my hard drive gets a rating of 3 under win 7 while in vista it gets 5.7

Same here. Apparently AHCI doesn't work for everyone on Win7, which is the issue I'm having (even though I did try loading the AHCI drivers at time of installation).

In Vista my hdd gets 5.2 and in Win7 it is 5.4

Don't know if you guys read the whole thread, but you are able to download this with local cap. Took me 14hours on a 512k line. So you can start it when you go to sleep and then when you get back from work, it should be finished even if you have a 384k line.

I'm at 72% so far, looking good. Just wondering - there is an option to upgrade, will that import any of my hard drive contents directly over or will I still need to re-install everything clean?

You can do the upgrade, but I think you will have to reload some of your apps and games, but I think everyone here will suggest a clean install.

Need help. Pc is a quad with 3gig mem and 2Xhdd. Downloaded 32 bit windows 7 and it run better than ok, only 2 problems came up. It only see one hdd and I need a name of anti virus that will work on 7. Will the 64 bit be better?

Anti virus I use is Avast. Use Disk Manager to check your disks out. You might have the same drive letter assigned to your CD/DVD rom as your 2nd HDD.

I always assign Y and Z to my CD/DVD devices
