Hey guys.

So ive been using the rtm for awhile now- this OS is worth every penny so far and will def buy it!

BUT- a serious problem is irritating me of late. After EVERY restart and shutdown i get a "BOOTMGR" is missing error and I have to run a Start-up repair every single time i start or restart my pc.

Its driving me nuts!!!!

can someone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks!

Legal copy? Oh and you meant to post this in the "Software" section. We're a bunch of programmers here...

Have you tried fixing the BootMGR with the Win 7 disk? Similar to fixmbr on XP. Or is that what the startup repair does?

Try booting the PC with your Windows 7 disk in the drive & see if it still gives you that error message. My bet is that it'll go straight into Windows.

oh ***** sorry man- there aint any legal copies yet....

not for the average noob, been using my msdn/technet one since it been out and haven't had any related issues like you are describing.

i have to use win7 disk to repair startup every time, after every shutdown or restart i have to do it again.... i used no soft mods or loaders- used rearm.

i just formatted my pc.

also tried rearm on one of the dev boxes, apart from another 30 days it worked as it should.

You Broke it!!! You broke your Win7!!! Ahh nooooo! thy cruel world!
Wait for that new HDD and wait for the retail version of Win7 to be released then you install it! .....this is what im doing! :P
