Windows 7 Explorer - How do I fix this?

This is one thing about Windows 7 that irks me no end....

When I click to expand a folder in Windows Explorer.... the folder list (in the left hand Tree pane) moves down to the bottom of the page so that the folder I just clicked on is the last one, and the folders I just expanded are hidden off the bottom of the page. I then have to scroll down again so that the folder I am working on is again in the middle of the screen.

I don't want to work on it at the bottom of the screen... I want it where I can see it.

Does anyone know how to change this behaviour?

Why not use Total Commander? Unless you have specific reasons not to...

Mine doesn't do that. I'm using 32bit ultimate release version which was installed as bare metal.

Thats what I said in my posts in another thread a few weeks ago, the explorer sux. Prefer the old XP style where it stays still! Other than that Win7 is my new best friend!

Because it has some quirks of it's own... the last time I tried it. But I will give it another shot.
