Hi there.

My pc starts freezing in windows 7. When I go to start then search for something it freezes, when I browse my c drive it freezes, even on bootup it takes like 20 - 30 minutes to boot up. here is the specs of the pc

Asus 750i mobo
Geforce GTX250
4GB Corsair XMS DDRII 800MHz
320GB HDD Seagate
liteon DVD Writer

Apps installed

Winrar
K-lite Codecs
All the drivers straight from ASUS website

I can boot up into safe mode and Safe mode with networking no problem but when I boot up normally and I try to do something my pc hangs

Any help will be apreciated

Thanks

Majority of companies do not make windows 7 drivers as yet because vista drivers work just fine on windows 7.

The inevitable deluge of issues inherent in a new iteration of an old piece of ****.

CAVEAT: I must apologise for my vitriol - you now how ex smokers are the most irritating individuals on the subject of smoking? Same thing with ex carnivores... same thing with me and Windows.
...and its Monday.

Well for starters you should not be keeping critical info on your windows drive and you should have anther drive to store your info on so that if anything should happen to windows you can just format without any problems.

Have you taken out the memory sticks and tried one at a time? Thing is without reloading windows you could go through all the hardware but windows would still be broken. It could be bad drivers but without reloading windows you will never know.

Try a CD bootable version of linux, they also generally have a memory diagnostic wich you can select before boot up to test the ram, also i have had a similar problem with vista 64 after a certain patch was applied. Not saying you dd that though...
