How is it -different- from IE? You can uninstall IE....

As for it being installed is based on your specific distro. Windows 7 is also basically a "distro" , Europe of course getting an inferior distro than the rest [thanks to the EU]. It is no different then the EU going after Ubuntu saying they must strip out any default software to allow people to "choose competitors".

The same percentage that has any HTML files....alot of help files [even Microsoft's own] comes in HTML format. Even though Office can also open HTML you need to keep in mind IE = free . Office = not .

So the problem is that because MS is the dominant OS, IE should not be bundled with MS? And since FF and Safari and every other browser is freeware in any case, what do they lose when people choose IE and not their browser?
