I've been using the beta since it came out & installed the RC on Sunday, all the notebook components worked straight away (HP Elitebook 8530p) & there were only 11Mb of updates.
I had to go to HP's site for the Vista driver for my HP LaserJet 1018 printer, but that also installed with no issues.
As far as I'm concerned Windows 7 is the best MS OS to date. It's slick & responsive (& pretty). As long as I don't have to pay for it, I'm happy ... and for the next 13 months it's free & legal.

It told me 2.3gig, that's why I'm looking for a disk really want to try it.
Imagine how boring it would be if there was no change at all when visiting this site
For the last 2 months of those 13 months ... the OS shuts down every 2 hours to let you know that your license is nearing an end ... or did you miss the FAQ

64 bit has only become really big since vista, windows xp 64 bit has hardly known.

32 vs 64
TimTDP, the short version? If you have 64bit capable hardware AND have 4Gb+ RAM, go for it, otherwise stick with 32bit.
I've got the 64bit hardware, but my work only gave me 2Gb RAM
... so I'm on 32bit.
... but ... I'm going to try and get my boss to approve a RAM upgrade
