Hi Guys just found this little program I know there is kopete and Pidgim (sp) but this one look pretty much the same as windows live. Installed it will let you know if its any good
 
I do not use on-line chat rooms any more, wasted allot of my time, specially on IRC, but try Jabber also, support all protocols you can shake a stick at.

Have not installed it literally in years, so do not know if the interface has had a facelift, but back in the day it was one ugly app, but it worked!
 
Use it often and has good support for offline messages, webcams (!) and nudges.

It almost never fails me which pidgin, unfortunately, does a lot when it comes to msn.

IMHO, aMSN is the best MSN client on Linux.
