That twitter history shows that somebody asked a question, and somebody else just gave an answer, then Daily Vox trumpted it as if it was God's own truth.

Pontsho Pilane works for the Daily Vox. She's been there every single minute. Periscoping and tweeting every single moment. She even got pepper sprayed along with the students the other day.
 
I wonder how these Wits students, who are quick to cry victim when they perceive their rights to be violated, would feel if somebody blockaded them, prevented them from freely entering or leaving a building, from driving on a public road.

'n Man se bakkie is Maandagmiddag in Johannesburg op sy dak gekeer toe studente hom agternagesit het nadat hy in sy voertuig op hulle afgejaag het.

Die studente van die ‪#‎WitsFeeMustFall‬-beweging het in Empireweg in Johannesburg gesit en die pad versper toe die motoris op hulle afgejaag het.

Die man het sy engin se toere opgestoot en studente het uit die pad uit gespring waarna die man deurgery het na 'n nabygeleë Engen-petrolstasie.

Die studente het gesien hoe hy daar indraai en het hom agterna gesit.

Hulle het alles wat hulle in die hande kon kry na hom gegooi en die Corsa-bakkie se vensters gebreek.

Sommige leiers, waaronder Mcebo Dlamini en Vuyani Pambo, het probeer intree om die studente sover te kry om op te hou.

Dit het nie gewerk nie.

Hulle het voortgegaan om voorwerpe na die bakkie te gooi, waarna die polisie die man uit die bakkie moes red.

Die polisie het met die man na hul voertuig gehardloop om hom veilig te probeer hou.

Daarna het die studente die man se bakkie omgekeer (Netwerk24)

"The man revved his engine and students jumped out of the way. The man then drove through to a nearby Engen Petrol Station"

There was no targetting students or trying to run them over. And why would he stop at the petrol station if he had been trying to kill people?

Revving your engine seems like a threat to me. That's why the students got up. He then drove through, hurting 4 students in the process (who probably couldn't get up fast enough). Nobody said he was trying to kill anyone (he just could've killed someone). He expected the students to get up anyway to get out of the way, what he didn't expect was that they would retaliate. Putting myself in his shoes, I'd expect the students to be pissed at what I'd just done but wouldn't expect them to run after me.
 
Violence like this won't change SA, the gap is widened. I experienced racism on early Sunday morning, an ugly one, it also involved crime. Political correctness have little integrity.

And all the idiots blocking the exit and threatening anyone trying to leave is not a threat towards other students holding them at ransom? Where did you get your education from?
 
I completed matric in 1997 with 5 A's and a B (Afrikaans, thorn in my side since primary school). My dad's company offered me a partial bursary that was not enough to cover tuition so I waited tables through uni to make enough money to cover travel, text books, typical university costs. This was a fairly typical story for most of the kids from my area (Chatsworth, Dbn) that received the privilege of tertiary education.

The kids in the street outside Wits and other universities do not deserve this privilege.
