Morning Everyone

I know these threads keep popping up all over the place and im sorry to create another.

Im currently using an Acer travelmate 5710  I’ve had it for around 4 years and so far it’s given me no problems. Battery is non-existent and the speed is still alright (Put in an SSD) However, Multitasking is nonexistent and the screen is still running on 1280x800.
It’s pretty much the usual nonsense. E-Mails, Pdf's, and the companies system (Web Based)

It must have Windows 7 Professional, and office 2010 with exchange support.

Im looking for a good deal I guess, perhaps an I5 processor with 4gigs of ram.

Suggestions would be welcome.

For work related stuff, you might want to look at a business kind of laptop with next day repair service for like 3 years.
Dell has a service like that on their business class laptops, but I'm not sure about the other brands though.

If you can go a few days / weeks without your work laptop, then you can go for one of the laptops that Grab-a-PC said.
I'd actually advise you going against laptops with just 1 year warranties, because they tend to pack up like a few days after 1 year.

A colleague of mine got the DELL Latitude E5410 Silver and I'm quite impressed with it, except of course that it doesn't come with Win7 x64.
Have a look at some of the Dell laptops here: http://www.laptopdirect.co.za/laptops__buy-laptops.php?cat=454

If you have to join a network domain, then make 100% sure that you get Windows 7 Professional (x86/x64), because Home Premium can't join a domain. Home Premium can join a Work Group though.

Agreed. Although nowadays I don't know anymore. I had to replace my HP at the start of this year after it broke exactly 5 days after the 2 year warranty ended.
