Hi

Our company is budgeting for training for this financial year.

I am still a junior and my knowledge of the courses and certifications available is quite limited.

What courses would you recommend for someone who develops in C#? Really, any kind of advice would be appreciated :)

Thanks!

The Microsoft certs of course. The other benefit is that if you get enough of them, your company can become a Microsoft partner, which gives them discounts on software. For this reason, companies find such certifications quite valuable, because it saves them money.

I'd say an English certification perhaps would do wonders

Thanks. Yes, I was looking at the MCSD: Web Applications one as my first option.

Thanks, but that is simple oversight. Human error. It's not like I can't speak English.

You'd be surprised. I've had the (mis)fortune of working with a lot of developers before, and if you see them type like that in e-mails/code comments/wherever, 9/10 times they also speak like that.

Nothing beats a degree. Skip the 1 year short courses and enrol for a BSc at UNISA.

Dude, I am looking for further training. CPDs. Additional qualifications. You don't just learn once and then you stop. You continue to improve yourself.

Well a bsc. Is better than a certificate, learn to deal with it.

It also happens that it's not recognised where a Microsoft certification is. Courses for horses, learn to deal with it. :p
