My family and I would pack up and go.

We were discussing this the other day. Not being invaded by another country, but rather a civil war in this country.

At the moment you have two options.

1. Wait for war, then leave.

2. Leave now, while you have the time to prepare and go.

Either way you have to leave this country, if you wait for war you will loose everything. If you leave before hand you can pack your life and get away with something at least.

The question is, will we ever get to a state of civil war in this country?
 
I think I would pack my bags and leave, given there is still enough time to leave and it is safe to do so. Else, I would stay and hide somewhere in the country....far from the war zones... hehehe
 
Easy choice - leave. Firstly I have my doubts about fighting in any war for any nation and secondly...SA military...yeah no...

Not anytime soon...there is no plausible "opponent". If the EFF stays on its current course there might be one by the time the next elections come around though and seeing how they're quite OK with hitting other EFF members with freakin pangas I'd rather not be around for an ANC vs EFF clash.

The one thing is for sure - civil war kills any countries economy, external wars are great for the economy ....

Maybe a good idea to stay and make berets and body bags ....

Watched a documentary the other day. Do you have idea how brave those black trackers must have been. Running in front of Kaspers with no body armour TOWARDS gun fire. Leading the charge with the Gunners sitting in the Kaspers. These trackers ran on mine invested sand with nothing but a rifle tracking SWAPO :eek:

Utmost respect for those Koevoet trackers. And today they are on the wrong end. They are black, but get no benefits from the respected countries as they fought for the wrong side... Namibia being a prime example.

well you will be not be getting paid anytime soon because I won't be at any desk assisting some war admin thing. just imagine, sitting at a desk and gunfire around you. no thanks, i'll take my cue here and get out now while I can. i'm not afraid to admit i'm scared of guns and the likes.

call me fraidy cat or whatever I've got broad shoulders. enjoy the fight people i'll be thinking of you the other side on the island I've set up called Zogg. :D
