I played WoW for about a year and my g/f is playing it now. Having not played since 2006, I was amused at how noobish the gameplay actually is when I watched her play.

  • Click on target
  • Press first hot key
  • Press second hot key
  • Press third hot key
  • Maybe press fourth hot key
  • Maybe repeat process
  • Win
  • Repeat 9877565353589654653453 times

Then there's all the mods and macros etc to make things even easier.

She was watching me play TF2 the other night and actually asked me "isn't there a mod you can use to help you aim?"

Get skill, nabs.

;):p

Lol - game play might be easy, but knowing what to do, and when to do it is key...
Its all about timing and knowing your strengths, not just about pointing and clicking like first person games...

Knowing your opponents weaknesses and bosses soft points are important, working as a team is also the main objective...

Its not as simple as you think it is...

So in other words, read WoW forums all day so you can emulate some leet Warlock or whatever's spec, item build and mods/macros, and listen to your raid leader during raids?

Badass.

Ok by that logic TF2 is very much easier than WoW.

1 Ability - shoot - mouse left click
Free look just move your mouse
WSAD directional movement
Bind whatever you want to right click
R - Reload
E - Use/Interact

And you're set. Your hands never need to move. You just need to move your crosshair over your enemy and click a few times. Some games have something extra : Get the flag, dont die > profit.

Try Vashj, Kael'thas and the Illidan fights, hell you can even go instant epic mode and try get an arena team to 2K+ rating, and then we'll talk again.

i completed a level 70 without imitating somebody elses spec...never raided because i dont really play anymore...
But this game is not easy at high levels....
1 guy does 1 thing wrong or out of turn, everybody can die and will need to reset and try again...
If it was that easy, there wouldnt be almost 10million people playing worldwide...

i would say playing cod4 multiplayer is 1000x harder than wow, much easier to have alla epic everything in wow than to win in cod every day.

im sorry bru but the two are completely different games... you cant actually compare them against each other...

I agree that CoD4 requires a completely different tact to playing and is more often than not more intense than playing wow.

But they are very different games...

You clearly havent done the really hard boss fights in WoW, so I'm a bit surprised that you actually say stuff like that.

played both and the learning curve for cod was much higher (sharper?) than wow which in my book makes cod harder. Now when you pit 2 clan teams in a 5v5, that gets interesting. Wow pvp is just... well, retarded.

That's EXACTLY why there's 10 million WoW players - coz any old noob can buy the game and be relatively successful at it, including raiding, PVP etc.

I played end game WoW (admittedly pre-BC), so I'm not totally clueless about the game.

wow pvp is retarded, the game was not built for pvp, its all based on gear, sure there is some tactics and what not but compaired to even guildwars its just not a pvp game. How many competitions are there in the world for wow pvp? I see rts, fps and maybe things like guildwars (as in agasa some years back) . Never ever hear/seen a wow one.

Well i meen if it was easy, it would be boring...
if it was boring there wouldnt be such huge numbers...

I dont have the time to get to the endgame, and all honestly probably will never be able to raid, purely because it takes alot of time and effort to get to that point, gearing up etc.

I disagree. People play WoW because of the "item trap". You have to keep up with your guildies and other people on the server in terms of phat lewts so you keep on playing in order to get better items. It's arguable whether WoW's even fun or if it's simply just addictive.

Come play cod its fun and you will have your fill in 30min, just takes abit of time to know the maps wellish.

Ignorance is bliss.

And why do you fps arrtards have to troll Wow forums anyway? Small penis syndrome? If you don't like it, nobody really cares, go back to healing your heavy or spawncamping or camping or whatever other 'leet skillz required' (lol sarcasm) types of dumb-as-a-brick click-1-button gameplay you enjoy.

Ok well i felt the grip of addiction during leveling... once i got to 70 it got monotonous and i just couldnt put the time in required to get to raiding level...
Many people find the item trap you are talking about fun, its just a matter of taste really, different strokes for different folks...
It sounds like you got a hard deal somewhere along the line and now taking out frustration on people who enjoy playing it by calling them noobs...
I meen u dont hear wow players going into BF, CoD4, or wateva threads ripping into those players calling them noobs...
