That doesn't count, i'm not talking about tounaments hosted by the creaters of the game i am talking about 3rd party tornaments. Like the south african agasa compo in guildwars we had. I don't see any professional game players playing wow, unless you call gold farmers professionals.
Exactly. We're happy playing WoW. We enjoy it. If we didn't, we wouldn't. Maybe THEM feeling the need to flame WoW players over **** they know *nothing* about has something do with jealousy? Or is it insecurity?

And the reason you can't have 3rd party tourneys in wow is because the official servers are owned and operated by Blizzard.
Even so, are you saying that Battle.Net is not a professional and accredited form of ranking for professional Wc3 and SC online tournament play? Absolute bullsh1t.
Who cares anyway, a 200 000 us$ tourney hosted by the publishers is bigger than anything I've seen to date. That's almost 2 million rand.

It's easy to play armchair critic but in the end playing wow might seem simplistic but it becomes more and more complex as you focus.

Wow is serious business at a certain level, those who've raided stuff like Naxx or current T6 know the incredible individual skill as well as team dynamic required to progress. the same is true for high-level arena play. Honestly, you people have *no freaking idea*, and base your opinion of what constitutes this game based on looking over the shoulder of a lowbie levelling.
Educate yourselves before posting horse manure assumptions. This is a lesson everyone needs to learn about everything. It's snotty, intolerant punks like you who give gamers of all kinds a bad rep. People like you who don't know what GTA is about except what you saw on the news so you throw a fit to have it censored, and other crap like that.

Frankly, I think that nobody on a TF2 forum would cry about somebody dissing their game the way you're doing here defending your precious WoW. You're actually proving the point that WoW is a serious addicition for many people. Most gamers wouldn't give a **** if somebody flamed the game they play, because most gamers are aware that it's just a game. Many WoW players (and you're a clear example) treat WoW as some kind of "way of life" and get extremely peeved if anyone has the audicity to poke fun at them.

Obviously you'll see FPS guys getting tense during a game (I've nearly broken a couple of mouses by slamming them on the table) but, ya, I certainly wouldn't have a little hissy fit if somebody said TF2 was a noob game.
