Wow, Marvel really destroyed the MCU in record time

I think the problems that Marvel/Disney are experiencing with their movies are -:
* a lack of quality,
* a lack in originality,
* trying to cater for every taste,
* too much of the same flooding the market,
* fan apathy & fatique,
* not listening to your target market and cater for what they need.

I also can't stand their constant need for continuity and correlation between all the movies. Just give me 3 Thor movies then get a new actor and tell new Thor movies in a new style. As it is everything just feels the same after a while, cut from the same cookie cutter.

I agree in part but it would be very difficult for me to relate to a new Iron Man if he wasn't played by Robert Downey Jr.

I've actually watched very few of them, and only when they're on tv :)

But of the ones I've seen they're all the same and not my kinda thing.

The first Iron man and first Avengers were great movies. The 3 Guardians movies were all great.
The first Ant man was ok.

The last Ant man and Dr Strange were really crap.

Most of the rest was so-so. Didn’t watch all of them, some only parts..

And they’re afraid to take risks with the mcu characters so the stakes never feel real
 
I enjoyed Iron Man 123 and Spiderman 123. The first Guardians of the Galaxy was awesome, the rest were dumb. The first AntMan was cool even though some characters were a bit cringe, although it feels on purpose. First Captain America was cool. First Thor was cool. Last Thor was junk. The rest of the MCU was mostly meh.
 
actually IMHO the entire movie industry (as opposed to only Marvel) has gone to utter sch!t in the last 7 to 10 years - theres been very few movies that i have enjoyed in that time period, but before i used to watch movies more than once - the TV series are improving but movies are now totally utter garbage and very few are worth the money making it

To be honest since Covid started i haven't really seen a good movie and to be fair it was getting very stinky (with bullshit) in the movie
industry even before Covid, and TV series have been getting progressively better and some of them are actually brilliant ..... for a while now my attitude to movies has been f@rk the movies because they seem to be all cr@p

I think part of the problem is the demand in how much people want to consume on demand. So they sacrificed quality and pushed for quantity. This escalated astronomically after covid. Noticed how 90% of films are below average and they still push them to 3 hour run times, and now we going to see part 1 and part 2 as well, even though there is barely enough footage to keep it interesting and entertaining for 45-60 minutes. The writers probably only have enough material for a 15 min screen time. So the rest of the 2 hours+ are just rushed VFX, long dragged out shots of the same scene and filler scenes contributing zero value to the film. Nevermind the woke movement and the absolute Hollywood greed from actors, directors and writers.

Funny how people forget (no... wait, have no friggin clue) that this stuff is from the comics that are way older than them.

A bit on the boring side for me like every Nolan movie but sure, some of the better Marvel/DC movies. Same with Joker.
 
I lost interest at around the second or third movie... Dont even recall what it was called. I just recall Thor having to send the bad guys back into the portal that was opened. It was the first with Loki if I remember.

DC does better animated movies, also the last few years they've been doing more "dark" versions of their stories with animations and games

DC Batman has always been rather dark. TAS, Arkham games, work well as animated movies and stories but people seem to equate animated with cartoon rather as a meduim.

I wouldn't know. Don't think I've ever watched a DC animated movie. Only animated superhero movie I've seen recently (other than Incredibles) was that Spider-Man multiverse something something which wasn't too bad.
