Wow, Marvel really destroyed the MCU in record time

But that doesn't make any sense. He is Iron Man in the MCU, now he just swaps roles??

Rather bring him back as Tony Stark via the multiverse or something......

Well consider Josh Brolin played cable and thanos, it wouldn't be too far a stretch from rdj to play victor von doom, as most likely going to wear a mask and makeup which should make him unrecognizable from the original ironman character. Marvel needs bankable actors to keep the money rolling in, they have made a hash of things since end games, and that deadpool is currently carrying the box office. ( I dont see it making less than a billion at the box office)

As pointed out marvel and consumers are suffering from hero fatigue. I personally haven't paid much attention to the MCU since endgame. I mean seriously the 3rd reboot of fantastic 4, and they still haven't manage to get it right, the chances are they won't get it this time either. Oh don't forget the blade reboot, that is going to be a box office bomb as well. They just couldn't leave well enough alone.

They should have added the xmen to the universe ages ago and expanded the universe ages ago too, I stopped caring ages ago. The sooner the MCU and DCU ends the better.

At least marvel wasn't dumb enough to reboot the MCU, like the DCU is trying to do now, snyders vision was great........., daft idea to do that let alone dropping cavil is going to bite them in the ass hard.

Really just needs to fking end already..........

Yeah, didnt Chris Evans play Johnny Storm in an earlier version of Fantastic 4

As a casual watcher of the MCU who gave up on the MCU after wanda vision.... I don't even know who the avengers are these days. Is it the original cast? Is it a new cast?

How can I even get excited for doomsday if I don't care about the heroes...

Having said that, Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom does spark my curiosity.

Yeah, that's really dumb :(

He did, but as far as movies go that was pretty unmemorable, unlike Iron Man.

Yes he did.........so it's a meh point really........iron man is dead on sacred time line........what would be the point to bring him back, same with chris evans, he is dead as captain America
and storm lol......

I suppose it will either be an Evil Tony Stark from an alternate universe becomes Dr Doom storyline or he'll be unrecognisable / wearing the mask all the time.

Concept art of MCU "Stark variant" Dr Doom...

Are they turning Iron Man into Dr. Doom or just bringing Robert Downey Jr. to play Dr. Doom?

Having actors play good or bad guys and then have them return to do the opposite with a new character in the same franchise doesn't work. At least if they turned Iron Man into Dr. Doom somehow there would be a back story attached and people would be able to accept it easier.

Well, I read today that Kevin Feige has shot down rumours that this Doctor Doom is a Stark variant, so I guess that means it's the latter. In which case I guess they'll make him unrecognisable somehow, but I don't know what the point of that is.

That's such a nonsense take. It's not self sabotage, it's just financially conservative. They know Downey has star power, they know he will commit to the roll and they know the audience will be curious to see how he portrayed Dr Doom.

Jonathan Majors screwed the Kang story arc, nobody else. If he didn't act like he did in that video, non of this would be happening. Pretentious actors always screw up their career potential.

Are we forgetting Johnny Blaze turned into Captain America? Lol

Downey will do a good job, doesn't really matter how they retcon it.... he's a known entity, we know more or less how he will approach it and from that we can legitimately be excited. Now who the writers are and what they will do is another story.
