Well if they are anything like Koos_wug and just wants to whine about their speed because they are too lazy to align their own antenna. And they would rather spend their time firstly bitching on IRC and then when that doesnt have an effect move it to the MyBB forums. We dont want them.

This is exactly the arrogance that make people post their "experience" (grievances).

Maybe a structured way of communicating problems is needed here?

But guys, please think before making a post that could potentially harm the wug's image.

Penguin I know exactly why this guy is upset. And there is absolutely nothing i can do about it(wish i could). Because at some point the admins cant be kept responsible for the users connection. I cant go to his house and fix his gear or rather i dont want to. Somewhere the user needs to take responsibility and fix their own stuff.

I find that hard to believe. The process usually takes 15 minutes. Without actually knowing the circumstances of the situation its is impossible for us to rectify the situation. I find it very hard to believe that you could be treated so badly in so many situations.

What you dont seem to get is that your "Wug Experience" is what you make it.

Lets take RomeoOs a couple of months ago HW, WM didnt exist. So RomeoOS wanted to connect what did he do. He built Highsites to connect to the WUG. And then we he wanted better links to the rest of the WUG he got permission to Install WUG gear on Keevy Kop which has actually open more paths for the North and the South to connect to each other. If it wasnt for RomeoOs these HS's wouldnt be what they are today.

So he battled with the same people had to deal with the same users and admins and got people working together and built these highsites. And why people got so worked up when you mentioned RomeoOs specifically.

Anyway. He managed all that, now you see why i find it hard to believe that you requested to become an admin and didnt have any success

Here's a thought, one of many floating in my little non-admin brain. You didn't pay anyone to become a wugger, OTHER than the kit you bought. And NO ONE forced you to buy that kit. So, I know you are only stating what you have experienced, but rather than come onto this public forum and slate PTAWUG, rather approach the admins/users and discuss it with them privately to resolve your problems.

If after that, you are still unhappy about the attitude of WUGGERS, then you can post your experience here, BUT, back it up with some evidence. A screenie or two of an IRC chat where you weren't helped. and not a selective screenie, but everything, because as previously stated here, you are connected and therefore have access to the Wiki and as such can go read most of the general FAQs. Just like you when would accuse a gamer of cheating online, you need evidence.

Right now this to me sounds like someone griping because he didn't get his way. While some of what you said may be true, ie gaming, first discuss it before yapping away like this, because if you had bothered to ask any gamer why, you would have gotten an answer that said ping are being fixed as we speak.

I'm sure there are more people out there who join the WUGS and cry because their speeds are slow, gaming or otherwise, but they fail to understand that we are working with wireless technology. It is highly unpredictable and you can get mixed results for no logical reason. Rather invest a bit of time and learn about things before telling us about your opinion. But don't come and make some statements here about people you don't know without some evidence. Yes, some of what you said has some truth to it regarding speeds, slow pings and even sarcasm. But, remember, everyone is human and after being asked for the 30th time in like 10 minutes, is the tracker down, and all you need to do is read the Wiki, ALL OF IT, and see there is an app called Nagios which monitors HSs and can tell you if its down or not, u can see why people can get sarcastic. Or better yet, read the blimmen topic of the IRC channel, because AMAZINGLY, it's there as well if it's been down for a while.

Enough ranting from me though, just one last reiteration: Whilst no one expects you to know everything, maybe try and learn something for yourself, before being asked to be spoonfed everything!!!

Well I'm getting what i wanted from this post and that is to inform all newbies of the ins and outs of the wug. Densweep just highlighted another good point "Read the damn wiki" and "Read it again", don't ask on the IRC channels any stupid questions over and over again. The PTAWUG praises themselves on documenting everything on the WIKI, PTAWUG's motto should be "IF you can't read p!33 off". Thanks Densweep.
