I knew "membership" fees would mess things up. As soon as someone pays he feels he should get something for that money and the s**t starts.![]()
Jawug charges? and ptawug not? Howcome, if I may ask? But the 2 are connected right?
They're two seperate entities. Two seperate networks, with a Peering agreement.
OK thanks, but that does'nt really answer my question, what are the JHB fees for? Membership? How much is the fee?
Jawug formalised as a Club in order to obtain NPO status.
There was coverage on MyBB about this move.
Basically, as a Legal Entity, we have more flexibility, and the ability to pursue peering agreements with other NPO Networks.
Still no Internet access though![]()

The fee is R30 a month, or R360 for the year. (There was a discounted rate of R300, but that offer expired at the end of October)
Most of this is going towards the costs of setting up the NPO. The rest will be allocated to projects as the members vote on it.

Ja, simple ass. South Africans can never agree with each other, why flame PTAWUG? Seems to me KOOS_wug keeps on going on and on and on and on and on and on and on...... real mature man. On the other hand i agree with abraham, if the shoe fits you'd know what to do. And that door has a spring arm that closes it self....![]()
PTAWUG praises themselves on documenting everything on the WIKI, PTAWUG's motto should be "IF you can't read p!33 off".
