Hi there

Was wondering if anyone still remembered how to configure x.25 protocol.
Have to migrate from an x.25 to IP network while still using the old x.25 and then gradually move onto IP.

translate between x.25 and TCP/IP.
ie server uses only IP is communicated to a IP address which then translates into x.25 when it comes back it goes from x.25 back to IP.

Just a point in the right diection here would be great.
All to be done with cisco equipment.

Blah, thanks ponder :-)
is kinda interesting but very old, everyone treats me like a leper when I ask about this....

Chat with Telkom corporate.

Their "Fastnet Wireless" & "FrameExpress" runs on X.25

I'd imagine they (Telkom) install a X.25 NTU at your premises and you simply connect your Cisco to it (probably via serial interface).

ta babba yep is with telkom already have a martis node and yes connected via serial interface.
Was wondering if there was some good material or people that had previously done config with telkom and how they did it..

Thanks ponder, know what it is with age old data.
Ya had a look at that configuration guide gave me a much better feel for things.
trawled through the Cisco site looking at configurations but not too sure how it would all fit together.
From my first post I am better versed with the intricacies that is x.25 even did a couple of working networking examples with GNS3.
Does any1 have any example configs that they have done with telkom?
