Personally I use 3 XBMC's throughout my house (LIVE) and no problem using the Hauppauge MCE out the box.

Just plug into the USB slot an GO!

Just my 10c
AubreyK-out
ps - I have tried the Android and iPhone app and it makes the experience feel cr@ppy...

If you have installed the Harmony software, it would be under:
New Device->Computer->Media Center PC->Compro->"VIDEOMATE K 300"

I am using the same IR receiver with a Harmony 300i and it works perfectly.

I prefer the Yatse remote on my htc Flyer tablet, works like a charm!

I am using my ps3 bluray remote works really well for me, I also have the android app for my phone and the iOS app fir my ipad. I also have a wireless keyboard works wonderful together l. Ps I use the pa3 remote mostly, i only use the others when the batteries for the ps3 remote is dead.

Hi everyone

I currently have a Hauppauge MCE remote that works great and does what I need within XBMC.
The problem is the remote seems to be getting old and some of the buttons struggle to work.
I am trying to replace it but all the suppliers do not have stock and cannot give me an ETA.

What other remotes are currently on the market that will work with XBMC.

This T2 air mouse can be used with XBMC. I am currently using one with a DroidTV MX and am really happy with it.

If you are looking for something that includes a QWERTY keyboard you could also take a look at one of these (MX3, Mele F10 Pro, Rii etc.) ...

I am using

Its kinda small but it does the job for me. I love the track pad on the remote. Those air mouse remotes have always been finicky in my hand :)

Will this work if the HTPC is 2m behind you and you point the remote to the front of the room?

Got the same 1, but it has to be line of sight, and my problem is, my IR receiver is in my PC which is at the back of the room, and my TV is in the front of the room, and it just doesnt seem right point the remote behind you to do something on XBMC.

Ummm. Both of those remote controls are wireless... Not infra-red, you should be able to point it to the moon and it will still work as long as you are in the specified working distance.
