Xbox 360 or graphics card?

I need some help choosing. Im about to spend alot of money on a graphics card and i realised i could probably get an xbox for that price. Can anyone help me make a choice?
 
the only real question to ask, is, do you pay for your games or not?

WTF? Games cost money on both platforms?

@ OP: What is the rest of your system spec? and how much do you want to spend?

If your PC is something decent like a C2D with a 22" then go for the graphics card, else console.

oh...sorry, didn't know you don't know what a LAN is, my mistake..

OP - if you copy stuff, go for the PC. if the xbox games are too expensive for you, go PC. if you got a lotta cash, get an xbox i suppose?
 
i have core 2 duo 2.2
3 gigs ram
22" LCD
Despite what anybody thinks i buy pirated!
Dont care for xbox live either so i will chip or buy a chipped xbox.
I had a 8600 gts 256 ddr3 card but sold it. and selling another ati card so thought id take that cash and go for a decent card or xbox 360
 
Graphics card then - if you play online with a pirated version your pc won't break itself.

No its not, but it does help. Would you buy a 4870X2 if you had a 17" CRT? And I mentioned the CPU because there is absolutely no point getting a new 4850 etc if the CPU isn't something recent.

What do LANS have to do with anything?
Why do you think PC titles are getting fewer and farther between? because cheap skates like you COPY their work. You're a graphics designer or something right? how would you like if a big company took your design and used it without paying you?
 
As an Xbox 360 owner, I would get a gfx card.

MI Digital are reckoning that Xbox games are going to start costing R1000+ on top of that you have dodgy hardware and this year should be massive for the PC gamer with Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 being released.

ur going off topic here, and i'm not in the mood for righteous blabbering atm, as it's friday... i'm just helping him decide, don't bring your EA "if they pirated and played it, we have lost money" garbage into the thread.

I can't argue with the Friday part, but to an extent you are wrong with the EA "if they pirated and played it, we have lost money". Take yourself as the perfect example, if games couldn't be copied what would you be doing with your PC? You'd buy the good ones.

Enjoy playing pirated goods and swapping porn at your LAN tonight with the rest of the jerk off's:)
 
Hehe i like this topic of pirated or non pirated. Listen i understand its nice to get true surround in a movie and maybe the extra guarantees and manuals that come with original games but i dont feel guilty buying pirated ****. Every forum i read about gta4 people with beautiful pc's had nothing but crap getting that game to work. well 3 of us with crap pc's got that game running within seconds of installation and yeah it was pirated. I share everything i get with everyone, games,movies,series. We all waiting for the day we can get open source anything right?
 
If you are young with no money I can understand pirating(was also there once upon a time) What pisses me off is people you can afford R15k computers but can't afford a game, PC must be on credit lol.

360 games can also be pirated, not that i'd recommend it.

I have a PS3/Xbox and have played and finished quite a few games(all the good ones) without even paying R500. Consoles have a huge 2nd hand market, borrowing, renting etc.
