anyway back on the topic..... A graphics card will be MUCH more powerful than the Xbox360 for the same money, and games will cost a lot less. Plus playing on a 22 inch monitor on full resolution is going to beat anything xbox can do. And let's face it, they're pretty much the same games anyway. You know where my vote goes.

Unfortunately, I dont think this is a question anyone else can answer for you.

It really depends, do you prefer gaming on a console and Tv or a PC. Take into consideration the controller, which i maintain is not ideal for FPSs or RTSs. If these are your favorite genres, then PC is a better option.

I find I prefer gaming on my PC. I like the mouse&keyboard setup, and there is something more immersive for me when playing on a PC. I also have an Xbox360 and Wii and am getting a PS3 soon.

I generally only use the consoles for the exclusives which I cant get on PC, like GTA4 (a few months ago), Fable II, Gears of War and little big planet.

My answer is the graphics card, but it really depends on your preference

can you use an xbox for making stuff in 3D? does xbox'es 3D Accelerator have blu-ray playback technology perhaps? is there even a way to play blu-ray on an xbox? does it offer playing online without the need for a monthly fee? can you personally mod the game if you would like to, like add your own game characters textures/etc with the use of downloaded tools? what about map making? can you listen to Metal while jamming on COD4 if you wanted to? how much do the Hard Drives cost if you needed more space? is it possible to play with 10 other people by daisy chaining the xboxes together, sort of like a network? how difficult is it to type in your player name when setting up a profile? how difficult are strategy or first person games with a gamepad instead of a mouse? how much do the games cost? will the system break if I played a pirate game, to see if it's worth buying? what's the rate of these things failing on me? will my son be able to get a job with an xbox if he spent all day on it for 5 years? Can it use 3G if I don't have a telephone line? etc/etc.

nope, none of these features - you get the same box as everyone else, and you can't change anything on it, besides a Hard drive which is Super Expensive for it's size. can you use a cheaper 500GB Seagate drive perhaps? the answer is no.

you can't do anything else except play MASSIVELY expensive games on a ADSL ONLY (not 3G), on Super Expensive (but Small) Hard Drives, on a network (only online, not a 10-man lan) that you also need to pay an additional charge to be able to connect, on a system that will fail on your ass at any moment it gets hot, or you play a pirate game....or it just does, for no reason...

Again, Im comparing things of relative value. R3k gfx vs R3k console. Not everyone has a computer with a CPU ready for gaming. Remember that most CPU's sold are cheapies. Just like your pentium 4 you had up until last month(LOL ) didn't cut it.

You are downloading simple text files and the decoding is done on your side, so the servers are not hosting the actual files (only the text files that you download). Remember that these text files are absolutely useless without a decoder, which resides on the client side. As a result, no action can ever be taken against a news server provider. And the NZB file basically only tells the client where to go and locate these text files.

Apart from that, it is still unclear under SA law whether downloading an actual file for personal use is illegal or not. Not that downloading an actual file is ever an issue with news servers anyway, as explained above. RiSA and ISPA are just acting like retards who have absolutely no clue on how these technologies work. I would have expected this from RiSA, but not ISPA (who have now lost credibility in the eyes of many people).

That's not going to happen because NNTP servers only serve text files, the decoding is done on the client side. They would have to go after each user, and then prove that they have actually decoded anything.

Hehe i like this topic of pirated or non pirated. Listen i understand its nice to get true surround in a movie and maybe the extra guarantees and manuals that come with original games but i dont feel guilty buying pirated ****. Every forum i read about gta4 people with beautiful pc's had nothing but crap getting that game to work. well 3 of us with crap pc's got that game running within seconds of installation and yeah it was pirated. I share everything i get with everyone, games,movies,series. We all waiting for the day we can get open source anything right?
