Look how angry and aggressive you get when challenged
It's stupid quotes like these I need to comment on :
Let me summarise for you :
YOU'RE not going to hear a difference. It's as simple as that. As much as you love your Sony system, it's still a Sony with Sony speakers. Try not tell all and sundry the magical differences between lossy and lossless formats when you don't have the equipment to hear it. You may theoretically be able to decode them ; but in practise the difference is tiny - if at all.
There are VERY few 7.1 discs. I HAVE read and gave you a number of titles auidio options. They all do 5.1 lossless. You posts indicate that every BR has super awesome sound - and it's bull****.
I'm not sure what you're snorting, but no one mentioned number of channels. How dumb are you to think I can't hear the difference between 2ch and 5.1ch? The HD formats are lossless - that's the big thing. You get Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, TrueHD 5.1 and DTS Master 5.1. Each is still only 5.1 ... it's simply compression and bitrates that differ. Remember DVD was also 5.1 sound - so the only real difference between Blu Ray and DVD sound is compression. Now I'm saying
you personally won't hear it - simple as that.
Also, I'm still waiting for you to give me your 7.1 titles that you have? I remember you saying you watched the Hulk in full surround ...
That too is only 5.1 sound though ... I'm starting to think 7.1 is available on less than 10% titles - if that.
