Xbox Series X / S

I was waiting for the Hisense U8G to come to South Africa because I'm in the market for a new tv. And lo and behold, we get a substandard version compared to the rest of the world. No 120Hz gaming!

Actually only the US is 120hz, the rest of the world gets the inferior one.

There's growing support which I think is really cool.

A user submitted list of games is here:

I think any MS title will get it by default - and other development houses have the option.

Decent list, although some of the most important ones are not listed. PubG, XCOM, Mass Effect, Stellaris, Divinity: OS2, Wasteland (an MS game) etc.
I am pleasantly surpised by the COD games, and Halo & Gears Tactics with KB&M is also good to see on the list.

Yeah look - there's a lot missing, but. the fact it's growing is good enough for me to grab a setup now and test it.

Also the fact that I can't aim for **** using a controller ;)

Out of your list - I was really hoping that Wasteland 3 would be supported (as I loved the early Fallout 1/2 games and was totally oblivious to the fact that Wasteland existed - so I really want to give those a go).

Wasteland is actually more like Fallout Tactics and Xcom.

Went through and picked up the controller yesterday, seems it should've only taken about 2 weeks, instead of a month.

Can't play games on it though :)

But it can make gaming sessions longer by eliminating the beer trips. I don't have those voice controlled remotes like my brother, so this will work for me.

That said, I don't see myself dropping R2K+ on a 12 can mini fridge. Still would be cool to have one.

After very little use my controller has packed up. The middle Xbox button loves to get stuck almost as if it gets pushed in too far and when it's stuck in, it emits a buzzing sound which wrecks the batteries.

Odd as it seems to come right by itself but then do it again a few days later.

Book & replace.

Hi guys, I will be buying a Xbox Series S in the coming weeks (for gaming & media streaming use) but have a question regarding a remote. Needed for use while watching Netflix, Youtube, Kodi etc. Can you guys recommend something that works well. I'll be using it from about 3 or 4 meters away max with clear line of sight of the Xbox.

The PDP Gaming Media Remote keeps popping up online, but the reviews (on multiple platforms) seem a bit hit & miss.
