Xbox Series X / S

Can anyone open Forza Horizon 5? Isn’t is supposed to be released on the 5th?

What is everyone with a series S/X doing about loadshedding to make sure this console doesn’t break.

I’m already noticing some weird stuff because of so Many Power Cuts.

When I cold boot the console after load shedding, the screen flickers twice on my the initial loading screen - nowhere else though. It does NOT do this with a regular hard power down (holding the Xbox button for 8 seconds)

So should I just unplug this thing till they suspend loadshedding because I do not want to risk this expensive console because of Eskom

Might not be a bad idea if you dont have a surge protector as power grid is very unstable right now for example today

If you want I'll update with what it looks like when my power returns at home.
Both my Xbox and PS5 is unplugged.

Personally I'll retro game till we back to normal

edit: For ref normal looks like:

I’ve got a surge protector but even then I don’t want to risk it - I think I am just gonna unplug it, but I want to play forza-

Gonna have a look at the back of the house for some old consoles maybe lol

Mine is always all over the place :-)

Mine is always all over the place :)
The Hz fluctuation is more a problem than V, but that is also all over the place lately.

The V is only a problem if it goes bellow 228V and over 252V that's where a surge plug is needed. Problem is last couple days, its coming very close to em limits esp when power returns so I'll stick to keeping em off till I have that delayed surge protector.

See bellow that as my power returned just now:

I've often had it at 220, friends are around 222 average. I've even had it at 215 for a bit. I've had it hit 250 but never higher then that.
Like now, sitting at 225

Guess happy bday to my Xbox for Yesterday... sadly did not even turn on the Xbox yesterday
I've not turned mine on this week thanks to the shed. I've also been tinkering on my PC bought an nvme that disabled 2 of my Sata ports so need to move the other M2 out.
