What do you mean change of heart? I don’t recall ever seeing an objection from them to start with.

What’s hilarious is how PlayStation has exposed themselves and everyone now wants to have a deeper look at their antitrust practises.
 
I am happy with my SX. Don't need a rework this gen. For PS5 it makes sense, given their offerings this gen ;)

Personally have no need for expansion (thank goodness). Optimised stuff I play on internal, non optimised on normal external.

Sheesh, you can basically get a 4TB NVME drive for the price of that Xbox one!
 
Definetly need something storage wise, that being said yes you can copy games back and forth from the hard drive but there is something I noticed and have tried (albeit only on one game) so am happy of any other forumites wanna try and see if it works.

When you go to your games you will notice (in particular for the series s/x games) the transfer icon, meaning you have to transfer to internal storage to be able to play

However I noticed with my Series X Assassin's Creed odyssey on my external hard drive did not have the transfer icon (maybe that's the give away), but does have the X/S thumbnail on it.

I was able to play it directly off the hard drive no issues.

Now I don't know if it being a previous gen game receiving a series x patch has anything to do with it, but it worked for some reason
