Standard going to R120 p/m and Ultimate going to R200 p/m
PS+ Extra works out to R133 p/m and includes more benefits than Microsoft's Standard esp when Microsoft starts dropping 1st party games to their service. (thats excluding the 2-3 free games per month that all PS services get)
Also PS+ Delux (1880/12 = R156 p/m)

Its like they want Xbox to fail?

I seriously need to do this, but damn it looks like one hell of a mission and I do not have halve the required tools to do it properly.
 
Truth be told, I don't often play the games available on Game Pass so I will definitely be downgrading to the Standard tier and maybe even cancelling entirely.

MS are losing the plot a bit

The issue is they were already struggling with adding anything interesting to the catalogue. Now it's even worse.

This is an industry thing in general. Games are taking too long to be released. Once you're caught up, there's nothing to play. I haven't touched either console in over a month, there's nothing that stands out for me right now, even to buy...

As example, I just finished Immortals of Aveum, Jedi Survivor, and Callisto Protocol in the last couple of months. Those alone are R900 if you got it on PS5 right now. That's 4+ Months of Ultimate subs only.

If you have an xbox, it's really senseless not to have Gamepass, unless you play very specific titles, and a few of them only.

R200 + Nextfest is a better deal for me. Even Calisto Protocol was free on Epic.
Don't get me wrong, 2 years ago when I got my Series S and GP, I enjoyed the **** out of it. But its bland now. I enjoy Steam more on the Ally these days. Still have until April next year on GP, and hardly play on there.

I really only pumped up my sub another two years because of Indiana and Stalker 2. If anything else decent rocks up its a bonus for me.

Those two and Frostpunk 2, all that I'm currently thinking that I'll still play before GP runs out.

They made it $1 across all platforms and stores which is nice.

Quite a boost in players on steam

wondering if games listed at massive discounts under 'Gamepass Member discount sale' is an indicator they will be coming to the service?
Some good prices ( 50 - 70% off) on titles I was put off by normal price (Hogwarts/Avatar etc)
 
So I got myself an Xbox Series X, and I’ll appreciate any recommendations of cross-platform games I can download through Game Pass. I’ve got a friend on PC I’d like to still play with (we used to play Counterstrike together), and the options I’ve found so far are Fortnite and Call of Duty. I think Overwatch supports cross-platform too but I’ve never played that before. Any other tried-and-tested games with South African servers?

South African servers might be hard but Rocket League, Overwatch 2 (you get decent amount of skins on game pass) Defiance, Paladins (link accounts for cross platform progression) Forza Horizon 4 and 5, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Diablo IV is on Game Pass and cross-platform. Not an FPS so not sure if it'll be your cup of tea.

Gears, First Descendant, Back4Blood, Grounded, Deep Rock Galactic, Sea of Thieves etc

Back4Blood is a really good time. We loved our time with it.
