I was lucky, sold mine last year November for same price I imported it. So technically, I replaced it with a 30th Anniversary edition for half its selling price.

Only way it would be better if it was a pro

Yeah the one X was like R6k when it came out, thought that was pricey until the Series X was R12k on launch but now

Pretty sure my Series X was R10,999.

Xbox One X was R7499.

Yeah Series X is the one Makro thing I oddly can’t find an invoice for. But could very well be some pre-order because I remember pulling the trigger the moment I could.

But the Xbox One X I checked what I paid on Takealot.

Yeah Series X I paid R12k the One X it was R6k roughly 2018ish. It's still going even though it's fallen off a book shelve and got a nice dent in it.

Yeah 2020 feels like yesterday and yet so far away at the same time. I can't believe it's been 5 years, but also the lack of games doesn't make it feel like the previous gens.

I had a great December that year. Few days after receiving my console, CP2077 launched and it was epic on the Series X. Had no idea what everyone was moaning about at the time...

It was a cash deal, IIRC it was a black Friday special.

Then the next year they also had the PS5 on a cash deal with that epic bundle - 4 games + extra controller for around R11k. eBucks Black Fridays used to be done properly...

Yeah, well, literally just bought "my Steam box" for the lounge.

Will pop on Bazzite and move over to a system that doesn't require a monthly sub for online gaming.

GamePass no longer value for money.

If a proper Steam box comes out with a reasonable price, the K8 can move the the office and replace my old 4th-gen i5 with Nvidia 1060 that I barely use these days.

Oh, the K8 is awesome. Bought mine beginning of the year and rocking Bazzite since day 1. Having a blast with it.
