Seems I’m a filthy casual who played too much Destiny

I game share so don't have an active sub to gamepass but went to the subs page to check. I did have one though before cancelling with the price increase, so don't know if that is why I am seeing these options.

They currently have the following options:
1 month @ R209
3 months @ R524 (normal R1049).

After the period you get charged at the normal price.

Most probably will require an active payment method etc.

How many of those Gears hours did we spend together? TK with a grenade tag FTW.

Great times we had.
Man GoW, even worked on my 192Kb/s line at the time. I used to work different shifts, the best one for me was the 12 to 9, so I could get some Gears in before work at 12 and after 9 :-). The graveyard shift I would take the 360 into the office and update games, as we only had a 3GB cap at home.

I upgraded from XSS to XSX in Aug and below this is the amount I paid:

This is the current price, WTF

1764942469062.pngI'm sure the price will not come down post festive season. The price is diabolical.

You think thats bad.... just wait till you see the new price in Feb when memory and SSD shock hit Microsoft.

Rumor has it they did not stock up pre Oct RAM bomb shell. Then again they wanna push people to cloud gaming via Subs so might be part of the plan.

Spoiler Alert: Sony & Steam is laughing all the way to the bank.

Got it on 360 disc, looks like upgrade is for digital only
Apparently this has been going on for over a week, some people on Reddit claimed that they did not have the option last week but do so now. That's where I got news of it so might be free on a later date if not now.

Or you missed it last week....

So maybe someone here can help me out, I bought my kid a new headset, his previous headset was giving problems with the mic and crackling, when joining a party, he can hear everyone but they cannot hear him, I have gone through all the settings I could google and watched a few Youtube videos as well as checked the privacy settings to try figure out what the problem is, I have partied up with him myself and gone through all the audio settings etc. but still no luck, the strange thing is on the TV screen you can see the mic picks up activity but there is no sound coming through to the party chat, has anyone experience this, maybe it's a simple fix maybe not?

And I am also up to R349 for the next UGP sub.

As long as I pay R1000 for DSTV for my wife to watch her stuff, I will keep UGP.

Daughter watches Netflix and uses Spotify.

I have YT Premium.

It all adds up.

Try the headset on Windows to eliminate the headset as a problem. Do some mic recording checks.

Then try it on a different controller. It might be the controller jack being the issue.

Then try it on a different internet network if possible (voip and nat restrictions might be a thing)

Make sure that the party (or friend) is not muted or blocked

Play around with the mic/game audio slider, as it might just be too soft.

Last thing I can think is checking specs of the headset. You really want something below 30 ohm impediance if it plugs into the controller. Those xbox rated headsets are usually fine, but some pc headsets really needs more power.

I hope you find a solution, but please let us know if you do.

It was so simple in the end  the controller was assigned to the wrong person and for some reason this disables the mic, but thanks for the help.
