Xbox Series X / S

I've always didn't like Gears. I remember my first day playing Gears 1, a couple hours into the campaign I realised this feels more like work than actual fun. It's just the same old routine, move a little forward, take cover, shoot, move forward , over and over and over .
Yes it was very much like one of those arcade paddle shooters that you found at the mall. But it had pretty graphics.

Sheesh, I’m more hyped to play Witcher 3 now than for Cyberpunk!
//checks Steam for expansions
Feel your pain.

I see its even cheaper on PC https://store.steampowered.com/sub/124923/
Also don't buy 1 + 2 cause they a lot more linear aka not Open world, unless you really into the story. It does give you a good background but I would rather say watch the Netflix Series and then play 3 than playing 1 + 2.

hehe yeah thats the only thing

but its a trusted buddy
I wouldn't even give out the password to a games account to my family. It's not that I don't trust them to do something stupid on the account but I have now increased the attack vector for this account (and their mindfulness about security is probably not as stringent as mine).

I'm not too worried if it's an account for a service that doesn't have real monetary value to me but digitally purchased goods on these accounts can be worth a lot.

It's a serious problem for MS. The campaign story and characters were at least decent, even if it was a bit of a grind. Now it doesn't even seem to have that.

There's just nothing engaging on their roster anymore. Even Halo always felt like it's lacking something. Pretty graphics, good mechanics, good multiplayer but just lacking that x-factor.

Was reading this article this morning which I think sort of nails it...

Ah, thanks I was wondering about back story. Time to binge some Netflix.

Sunset Overdrive was probably the only Xbox One Exclusive that looked interesting to me.

Rather watch a youtube video explaining Witcher 1 and 2. The Netflix series won't really explain much.

I was as confused as F playing 1 and 2 so got into the books to figure out WTH is going on. The series is based on the books so don't know if its such a good idea :D

Sure the series starts off confusing but not as bad as the games do. <-- my personal opinion.

Anyone else using their Xbox as their full media player?

It has all the usuals plus showmax and DStv now. I purchased a universal IR remote to control the TV, soundbar and Xbox with one remote, so it's really working out well
Which universal remote are you using? looking at getting one.

My

Indeed. And then those downloads - as they are huge. Already clocking in at 3TB for the month ... my poor ISP.

i downloaded a few games over the weekend and only to test if my ISP will throttle

but im on a 10mb uncapped

a 41gb game took about a day

My console is on its own RAIN sim, switched to full uncapped for just that reason alone. Still getting 20 Mb speeds. Using Telkom LTE for the rest of the house.

Was even thinking of signing up for 20 meg Telkom fiber + PS5 deal but was told no Fiber in my area :(

Edit: Ok not doing so bad

Can i share game pass with a buddy who stays couple Ks away ?

is there any way that microsoft will block the account even though there isnt anything illegal other than he using my log ins ?
I'd test it before you commit. I suspect the subscription is linked to a device. Otherwise everyone would be doing this.

Is anybody using TV Style/Universal remotes on their xbox and if so, which one?
Thinking of getting the Xbox One version of the PDP remote as the new one stays sold out everywhere.

I have 2 devices + 1 PC and 1 laptop, when I log in any of them it has my GamePass linked. So linked to your Microsoft User account <-- Something I would not share with anyone, not even my Wife.

I'd lose it. I do not have that patience! I temporarily upgraded the line for the holiday period, as I want to try out as many of the games in the game pass library - so far my favourite is Tetris :crying:

That is still reasonable. Wise move moving to uncapped.

Correction, I'm sitting at just under 3TB:
