Sorry to say, not a fan of Uncharted either
Ah, I loved everything from Uncharted 2. I got the remastered collection with a friend when I had a PS4, then got uncharted 4 after burning through those. They are such great games. Uncharted 1 though - that was just painful. Everyone looked like potatoes, and the controls were horrible. I kept falling off cliffs, etc. From 2 onward, it's a mixture of a movie and Tomb Raider. And 4 has some real feels in the end.

I understand not getting into a series though, especially if there are many old ones. I wasn't part of the Halo crowd, hardcore gaming came quite late in my life, so I missed out on a ton. I recently tried the Masterchief collection, and Halo 5. They have not aged well. Spent a good few minutes with each. Some things just aren't for me.

First time I played Uncharted was also the Nathan Drake collection since I skipped the PS3.

Loved every moment of each game. Even the first one, as fidgety as the controls were, was redeemed by the story. Ended up preordering Uncharted 4 and wasn't disappointed.

The Tomb Raider reboots remind me a lot of those games. The new story is great, and much easier to take seriously, now that we don't have to contend with PS1 & PS2 level graphics...

First impressions of Outriders is pretty good, apart from the login issues. I'm sure they'll get that sorted out.

Once I did manage to login, it was pretty good. Sunk about 5 hours into it in no time. It's sort of a hybrid between Destiny and The Division. If you like either of those games then you'll like this.

Story feels done-before but the mechanics and combat are top notch. I'm currently running Pyromancer solo. It's challenging without feeling impossible. You don't need to co-op to progress. Skill trees are nicely laid out and intuitive. Haven't gotten to any crafting stuff yet.

Would recommend...

I haven't been able to login on my series X. Game stuck at authentication screen with no internet connection error.

Possible but more likely all the server issues mentioned here -
I was trying to play Warhammer....

Stuck on Authentication page with same error. Go out of the game... internet works... so rebooted console and it worked. No idea why.

I solo pve content. Reason being I like to be in control of my story and the pace of the missions, and don't like people rushing through it because they're busy replaying stuff.

Squad up sometimes for pvp...

Hi Guys, anyone else experience a random black screen on Xbox Series S console sometimes? Especially when starting up a new game that wants to calibrate the screen area. Changing the the hdmi source on tv and going back to the source that the Xbox is connected to seems to fix/refresh it but I'm wondering what causes this. Playing on 55" 4K UHD tv @ 60Hz.

Suspect thats your TV. I has similar experience on my Media PC and older Hisense TV before I upgraded to Samsung.

Is your console set to 4K with perm upscaling, if not I would try that 1st.

I have not experienced this on the X. That sounds like a frustrating problem.

It’s almost certainly your TV. Can you download a firmware update for it?
