Just because it wasn't exclusive doesn't mean they didn't have any games.
This is a lot of my opinion here, so take with a pinch of salt.
Will start off with the good for this year - Indiana and the new Doom were bangers. I really enjoyed them both.
But going through that list, there were a lot of memorable pains that is borderline unforgivable given what they charge for the games on launch (if you were to buy instead of Gamepass).
* Forza Motorsport: The save bug issue killed any joy I got out of that game. Others also had issues with roads disappearing. Took them ages to fix these bugs, and that save issue was game breaking.
* Oblivion: Not my sort of game but they managed to port over all the old bugs, and of course it ran like dried up mud on high end hardware.
* Starfield: I enjoyed it for what it was, but time has changed my opinion of the game. It felt like it was released 10 years too late - because it looks and feels dated. Nevermind the mission breaking bugs and many loading screens. I really wanted to like this game, but yeah.
* Starfield DLC: Met with a whelming response. It's never really gone on special (seems to be permanently at -10% on the xbox store) and even that is too expensive.
* Hellblade: A walking face animation simulator
* Halo Infinite: Just going to rage about the campaign here, I know the multiplayer aspect is enjoyed but many. The campaign was dull and repetitive. The cutscenes shipped with a stuttering bug and it took them months to fix this. I imagine this game was the first Halo experience for many (it was for me) and it left me never wanting more. How this studio survived and other ones got nuked boggles my mind.
* Redfall: Nothing to say here, it speaks for itself
I could go on. All I can say is thank goodness I haven't had to pay more than the Gamepass sub for my Xbox games experiences.
